Tompkins Families invites you to join us for our monthly meeting of Coalition for Families!

Safer Families: Creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth

Join in the conversation as Symphony Howe guides a discussion aiming to educate families about the LGBTQIA+ community and the adversity LGBTQIA+ youth face. Together we will consider cultural responsiveness and look at our personal perceptions and experiences with individuals who are exploring their identities or identifying as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. With an emphasis on steps we can take to create safe and inclusive spaces for our LGBTQIA+ youth, this coalition is geared to support parents whose children are questioning or exploring their identities, parents whose children are identifying as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and for parents and professionals who wish to promote allyship.

*Lunch will be provided to those attending in person.
